The members of the Association of Diplomacy in Practice had an adventurous and eventful trip to Vienna on the 1st day of April in 2016.
During the morning, we had an exciting conversation in the beautiful edifice of the Hungarian Embassy of Vienna about questions related to the UN’s nuclear weapons policy, with Mr. Vilmos Cserveny, the retired Assistant Director-General of the International Atomic Energy Agency, and with Mr. András Pamuk, Deputy Chief of Mission.
In the afternoon we discovered the amazing Austrian capital city, and later we took part in an informative lecture that introduced the duties of the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization. The lecture was followed by a guided tour in the United Nations Office in Vienna.
Finally, we would like to thank Mr. Vilmos Cserveny and Mr András Pamuk for welcoming us in the Hungarian Embassy of Vienna and for making this year’s April Fool’s Day an unforgettable.
